Gaming TV Station soon to Launch

on 26 Aug : 12:27  Posted by admin  Category: Misc   Comments: 0
The UK's first TV channel entirely devoted to videogaming will launch this November.

It's called Ginx, and will be "fully distributed on cable and satellite TV". "For us it's about light gamers," said CEO Michiel Bakker at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival this morning.

Ginx will initially focus on game reviews, but will expand to include shows that go deeper on other subjects. For example, Ginx will include a show that highlights sports stars who like games, will send a tour bus to follow bands who like games, and will even look at army personnel who like games.

Bakker said Ginx will explore high definition and 3D in the future. "The Ginx channel is going to be an evolution rather than an overnight revolution,"

Bakker said. "Is it a good TV show to watch people play games? Does that make for good TV? If it does we'll do it. If it doesn't we won't."

Ginx already produces the UK's most popular videogame show GameFace, which launched in August 2009 on Bravo.

Looks like a re-release for this title is pretty imminent with the advantage of being able to use Kinetic and hopefully additional DLC added to the mix.

Halo Breach oops sorry Reach (360)

on 24 Aug : 11:27  Posted by admin  Category: XBOX360 Gaming News   Comments: 0
Microsoft are currently investigating the early release of Halo Reach which has found itself on many bittorrent websites.

Apparently the code was placed on the XBL Marketplace where a high price was placed on it and the listing was hidden.

However a sneaky group of hackers managed to leech the game from the public facing server and lo and behold it was later found on many bittorrent sites.

Microsoft are not happy that game has had yet another early release this follows in the footsteps of the previous games from the series which either were released early by gamestores or were copied during the pressing procedure and made publicly available.

This is the last "Halo" game that Bungie will be involved with as Microsoft and 323 Industries now have the IPR for future titles.

Let us know if you have played an early copy.
